1. Manufacturing method of powder:

1. Air spray method:

It is often used in the manufacture of easily oxidized powder such as aluminum powder and alloy powder. Due to the use of inert gas, the powder produced has high purity, spherical appearance and high accumulation degree.

2. Water spray method:

The powder produced by water spray method is irregular in shape, and its disadvantage is that it has a little higher oxygen content.But its production costs are low.

3. Reduction method:

The most common metal powder used in this method is iron powder, which is made by reducing ferric oxide FeO to hydrogen.Due to the low density and large volume of iron oxide powder, it will leave holes after reduction, so its irregular shape and internal hole, commonly known as sponge iron powder.

4. Centrifugal method:

In addition to spraying molten metal into powder with the momentum of water or gas, the droplet of molten metal can be ejected by centrifugal force.Although the powder produced by this method has high cost, it is less polluted and suitable for making active metal, such as titanium.

5. Mechanical alloy method:

For some brittle metals it can be crushed by impact, so a fine and standard powder can be obtained by continuous impact.

6. Electrolysis:

The most common are electrolytic copper and electrolytic iron powder.It has high purity, good compressibility and good embryonic strength.Its shape is dendritic.But manufacturing costs are too high.

7. Chemical decomposition:

The most common for 羫 iron powder and powder 羫 nickel base powder.The powder has spherical shape, needle shape, chain shape and so on.Spherical iron powder is commonly used in MIM, soft magnetic materials, microwave absorption materials, etc.
